Sweet Potato, Quinoa and Nut Burger

 

1 cup cooked sweet potato

1 cup cooked Inari Organic Quinoa

½ cup Inari Organic Raw Almonds

½ cup Inari Organic Raw Walnuts

1 organic egg

1 tbsp Tamari sauce or Bragg’s

All Purpose Liquid Soy Seasoning

1 clove minced garlic

1 tbsp of your favourite spice mix (e.g. Italian, Thai, Chipotle)

3 tbsp oil (sesame, grape or coconut recommended)

 

Directions:

Grind nuts in food processor. In a medium bowl, mash together sweet potato, quinoa, ground nuts, egg, tamari, garlic and spice mix. Chill for at least 30 minutes to make patties easier to form. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Heat the oil in a large skillet at medium/high heat. Form patties with your hands. Place the patties in the heated skillet, and brown on both sides. Place browned patties on a parchment lined baking sheet, and bake for 15 - 20 minutes. Garnish with your favourite veggies and condiments.
